SWF Rugby Club Open Day

Deputy Mayor, Cllr Lisa Kelly, was delighted to attend the South Woodham Ferrers Rugby Club Open Day on Sunday 30th August, joining players, families and supporters for a day of community spirit and sporting celebration.

The event showcased the club’s commitment to promoting rugby at all levels, providing opportunities for people of all ages to get involved, meet club members and learn more about the sport. Visitors enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere and the chance to see first-hand the important role the club plays within the local community.

Cllr Kelly praised the dedication of the volunteers, coaches and members who work tirelessly to make the club a success and help foster a positive environment for players both on and off the pitch.

The Deputy Mayor would like to extend a special thank you to the Club President, Gary Croker, for the warm welcome and hospitality shown throughout the day. His continued leadership and support are instrumental in the ongoing success of South Woodham Ferrers Rugby Club.

The Open Day highlighted the strength of community sport in South Woodham Ferrers and the valuable contribution the rugby club continues to make to local life.
